This photo taken five years ago of my oldest son at the age of five while we were releasing Monarch Butterflies that had grown up in our home from the egg, to the larva, to the pupa and as you see adulthood. My kids were amazed that the butterflies would stay on their fingers.

side note to myself: Theo loved this dress up cowboy vest when he was five and rarely left home without it unless mom insisted he could not wear it. He was also wearing his favorite cowboy boots.

I have a similar pic of a hummingbird with my youngest son. It was so used to being at our feeder and with our kids always around playing that it didn't care that he got up close and personal. I'll have to find it for a later WW..
